Blurry Bridge
Blurry-Artsy-Cool
I’m playing with a new tool… Picasa. So, here’s a mini-slide show of pictures I took of stage rehearsal in Salt Lake. I chose the blurriest ones, because I thought they actually were the most interesting.
Fire in the dryer
This picture is an old picture I took on my cell phone of the dryer we use at the laundromat around the corner (I finally found out how to get my cell pics onto my computer!).

Do you see that red rectangular thing in the middle? Yep, that’s fire! The dryer heat is apparently created by a fire chamber in the back and controlled by a little vent that opens and closes depending on how much heat is needed… When the door opens, we can see the flames!!! When Justin and I saw that, we were in shock!
Is it just me, or does look like a 19th century dryer mechanism? I wonder if somebody’s in the back with a shovel feeding the furnace with coals…
A Walk in the Park
Yesterday, Justin and I took a walk around Golden Gate Park’s Arboretum and played with the camera…
This one is the perfect computer desktop background. Abstract. Round.

This one was fun laying down under the flowers and having people think I’m a pro :)

The center of some plants have fascinating patterns.

Perfect harmony
Aurelie (my sister) and her daughter Luna… I want to stare at this picture for hours.

Fisherman’s Wharf wonders
San Francisco offers many cool sights by just walking around, making turns and stumbling upon stuff…
So, yesterday, I took advantage of my last free afternoon (I’m temping at Federated Media…yey!…just gotta beware for the Justin-Stephanie overload!) to take a long city walk from Nob Hill to Pier 39, longing the water and grabbing the Powell-Hyde cable car back. I had a lot of fun!
On the left, is a street corner I thought had interesting architecture and colors.

Below left, the good ol’ seals at Pier 39 with their buddies the seagulls.
Below right, the Fisherman’s Wharf crab stands (with not too many crabs that day…)

Weird man dressed up as a dog, owning a few dogs looking like his suit and taking pictures of people with the dogs…WEIRD!

Above, a spray painting artist…incroyable! Below, some freestylin’ break dancers.

Time to go back home…what a great little impromptu adventure!
A photographer I should have discovered a long time ago…
I’m a fan of pictures with jumps. I feel like the only ones I’ve really been in touch with are my own and Lois Greenfield’s.
But man, this one is probably the most amazing one ever!
It’s called “dali-atomicus”, taken in 1948.

And according to neatorama.com, “it took six hours, 28 jumps, and a roomful of assistants throwing angry cats and buckets of water into the air to get the perfect exposure.”
Poor cats.
Weekend d’enfer!
(English speaking people, please refer to Justin’s post… I need to feed my french crowd)

Rouge!!!
Like puff pastry … Comme un mille feuilles…
Guess what this is?
Devinez ce que c’est?

It’s our skin!!! And you know what that blue thing in the middle is?…A sweat cell!
You can see more throught the eyes of science.
Fascinating!!
Fascinant!!
